EO4EU Open-Source Repositories

The EO4EU project has officially announced the release of its platform components as open-source repositories, marking a commitment to transparency and community-driven innovation in Earth Observation (EO) data processing. By making these tools accessible, the project aims to support stakeholders in retrieving and processing data from diverse, heterogeneous sources through advanced workflows.

The released components, available via the EO4EU GitHub organization, include several core technical pillars:

  • Knowledge Graph: Facilitates the searching and linking of EO data across disparate, heterogeneous sources.
  • Machine Learning Processing Components: Provides tools for automated analysis and predictive modeling, grounded in the project’s specific use cases.
  • Orchestration Components: Manages the execution of workflows and the allocation of computational resources across the platform.
  • User Interfaces: Offers multiple access points for users to interact with the platform’s data and specialized services.

To provide maximum utility and flexibility for external adaptation, the repositories are available under recognized open-source licenses, including MIT and Apache 2.0. Furthermore, to ensure long-term preservation and facilitate formal citation in academic and technical literature, the software has been archived on Zenodo.
