Abstract
The World Aerobiology book of abstracts is dedicated to showcasing the results and impact presented by experts, researchers, and scientists at World Aerobiology 2024 from 1-5 July in Vilnius, Lithuania. The meeting comprised of three significant events, including the 8th European Symposium on Aerobiology (8th ESA), the 12th International Congress on Aerobiology (12th ICA), and the 5th International Ragweed Conference (5th IRC). This book highlights the research, knowledge, and innovations in studying airborne pollen, spores, and other bioaerosols that were presented by various experts and projects throughout the week. EO4EU Featured in the Abstract Book
The abstracts of EO4EU presentations can be found throughout this publication, reinforcing the support and range of influence of EO4EU data accessibility and capabilities. On pages 11-12, the presentation abstract for Vilnius University research on "Pollen Resilience Index": Combined Impact of Air Pollution, Pollen Load, and Heat on Allergy Symptoms is explored, with recognition given to EO4EU funding. On pages 298-299, the abstract for "Personalized Approach in Pollen Allergy Forecasting" (PASYFO) is presented, providing a snapshot of the research on one of the seven diverse use cases EO4EU supports to demonstrate platform impact.
